Riverdance Long Beach Theatre reviews
Great show but seats were a let down
The show was amazing including most all of the iconic original songs and dances with a couple newer ones as well. The downside was the seating. I purchased the best seats available row c main floor which was the front row as they closed rows a and b. The problem was the stage was above eye level, combined with the orchestra pit this meant you could not see anything below the knees. At a normal performance this would be a who cares but for Riverdance this was beyond rediculous! The whole point is to see their feet. The view from row c and d should have been sold as at best partially obstructed the same as if you were sitting behind a column. At intermission I spoke with the ushers and we were able to move back to row j which had an amazing view. Ticketmaster and the theater should have a better understanding of their theaters and the performances. They can't say they didn't know because the closed row a and b. As such for this performance c and d while they could be sold should have been categorized as a bottom tier partially obstructed view, not a top tier best view.
